Yesterday we recieved our first tease for Season 2 of Star Trek: Picard. We now know that Jean-Luc Picard will go up against his greatest foe of all time, no not the borg, non other then time it self. However Picard has an ally from his past, or does he?
The infomous Q makes his return to the Star Trek Universe. First introduced going head to head with Picard in Star Trek The Next Generation, Q is back, and ready to continue to cause trouble for Picard.

Played by John de Lancie, Q is an extra-dimensional being of unknown origin. He, and his kind, possesses immeasurable power over time, space, the laws of physics, and reality itself, being capable of altering it to his whim. Despite his vast knowledge and experience spanning untold eons, he is not above practical jokes for his own personal amusement, for a Machiavellian and manipulative purpose, or to prove a point. He is said to be almost omnipotent and he is continually evasive regarding his true motivations.
Season 2 of Star Trek: Picard is being produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment, with Akiva Goldsman and Terry Matalas serving as showrunners.
Patrick Stewart returns as the title character Picard. Joining Stewart is Alison Pill, Isa Briones, Evan Evagora, Michelle Hurd, Santiago Cabrera, Jeri Ryan, Orla Brady, and Brent Spiner. The second season was officially announced in January 2020, with filming set to have begun in June 2020. However due to the COVID-19 pandemic production was delayed until February of this year.
With production now underway, the season is expected to premiere on the streaming service Paramount+ in 2022, and will consist of 10 episodes.
