Seth MacFarlane is one of my favorite creators our there. While I did not like A Million Ways To Die In The West, Ted and Ted 2 are hilarious. Family Guy is one of my favorite shows, and I enjoy American Dad, and loved The Cleveland Show. So naturally I was excited for The Orville. And my expectations were met. Season 2 took a little dip for me, but still an amazing show! I have been patiently waiting for a season 3, and on June 2, it will finally be here! Check out a brand new sneak peek at the new season, New Horizons.
Looks amazing once again! The new season changes a few things, jumping 400 years into the future. As the U.S.S. Orville continues their mission of exploration, they navigate both the mysteries of the universe and the complexities of their own interpersonal relationships. Seth MacFarlane once again stars alongside Adrianne Palicki, Norm MacDonald (in one of his final performances), Penny Johnson Jerald, Scott Grimes, Peter Macon, J. Lee, Mark Jackson, Chad L. Coleman, Jessica Szohr and new comer to the cast, Anne Winters.
Macfarlane and posted the opening credits early Friday morning, with this tweet:
MacFarlane has always seemed extremely passionate about this project, and his passion shows through the show. It isn’t what Fox wanted it to be, but it is so much more because The Orville seems to be MacFarlane’s true vision for the show. I have never felt watching it that the network had ever pushed him in any direction, which makes the show externally enjoyable.
This will be the first season since season 2 ended in 2018, and I am hyped to check it out with knew eyes. When I first watched the Orville I had never seen the Star Trek series’. Only the films, and an episode here or there. So as The Orville has always seemed like love letter to Star Trek, I am excited to finally get back to the U.S.S. Orville. What about you?
