After the last visit to Woodsboro, Paramount and Spyglass are ready to Answer The Call again. See what we did there? Used our own tag line….. Ok sorry, back to Ghostface.

SCREAM made over $100 Million at the Box Office so it is only natural that they have greenlit another sequel. Paramount and Spyglass made a join statement saying:

We are tremendously grateful to the fans around the world who enthusiastically received our film. We can’t wait for audiences to see what Radio Silence, writers Jamie & Guy and Project X have in store for our Woodsboro family,

Production is slated to begin this summer with Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli–Olpin and Tyler Gillett back to direct. James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick will once again write the script. Radio Silence made an official statement saying:

Working with such a wonderful and talented family of creators — and in the lineage Wes [Craven] and Kevin [Williamson] so expertly built — has been the thrill of a lifetime, and we’re so excited to bring the next chapter in the Scream saga to life,

No release date, plot, or cast information is available. While I liked SCREAM I didn’t find it to be anything new or exciting. Probably middle tier if I were to be ranking them.
