The DCEU seems to be in an overhaul. As The Flash film is set to basically reset the entire universe. From the look of it, going forward The Flash will set up Michael Keaton as Batman. The Batverse is slowly growing with Batgirl on it’s way. Leslie Grace is set to play the titular superhero in the HBO Max original film. She will be joined by Brendan Frasier as the villain Firefly.
Earlier this week we saw a set photo revealing that the Batman of this universe is in fact Michael Keaton’s Batman, a Batman that even had, or has a Robin. The info comes from a shot of a street mural showing of Batman, along with The Boy Wonder.
But that is not the biggest piece of information to come out about Batgirl this week. Late last night, Leslie Grace posted an official look at Batgirl herself!
First off Leslie Grace looks incredible as the character! The In The Heights star brings to life an iconic look of Batgirl. It legit looks like the costume was ripped straight from the comics, along with some incredible love to the original batgirl herself, Yvonne Craig.
Batgirl is directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah from a screenplay by Christina Hodson, and stars Leslie Grace as Barbara Gordon alongside J. K. Simmons, Brendan Fraser, and Michael Keaton. Batgirl is scheduled to be released on HBO Max later this year.
