HBO Max is running strong, with upcoming films and shows. They are really beginning to put their money into the upcoming films made exclusively for HBO Max. One such project is Batgirl, with “Bad Boys for Life” filmmaking duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are set to direct. They also have gotten “Birds of Prey” and “The Flash” screenwriter Christina Hodson to pen the script. And now, we have our Batgirl.

In The Heights Star Leslie Grace has been tasked to take on the mantle of Barbra Gordan, AKA Batgirl in the upcoming film. Known more for her musical talents until the release of In The Heights earlier this month, also on HBO Max, Grace was a break out in the film.

With the DCEU still in limbo and no one knowing where they will exactly go, Batgirl could play a key roll. Finding out if this will go to toward the Justice League or toward Matt Reeves universe. No release date is set, but with casting of of our titular character, you can assume more news will be coming soon.
