Since the first trailer hit I have learned a few things. Originally I was a bit confused about the timeline of this film, but little did I know, Snake–Eyes will be a reboot of the GI Joe Franchise. And now we have our final trailer before it hit theaters this Thursday night’s advanced screenings.

The idea that this is a new rebooted franchise has got me of two minds. One, it looks really good! I really enjoy Henry Golding, and I am excited to see him as the character. However, I am one of the only people on the planet that REALLY LOVED Rise of Cobra. Retaliation was a bit of a drop off, but Rise of Cobra was fun. So while I am bummed not to see that franchise continue, I am hyped for the future of this franchise.

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins stars Henry Golding as Snake–Eyes, and Andrew Koji as his nemesis Storm Shadow. The film will also see Úrsula Corberó as The Baroness, Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Haruka Abe as Akiko, Tahehiro Hira as Kenta and Iko Uwais as Hard Master. Snake–Eyes hits theaters exclusively this Friday, July 23rd, with early screenings Thursday night. I myself have booked a private theater for Saturday, so you can expect a review by Sunday night!
