Black Adam is one of the most anticipated upcoming superhero films. While WB/DC hasn’t had the best track record, or the most support from fans, nothing can stop us all from being hyped for The Rock joining the superhero world. Hero, villain, whatever, we just want to see The Rock go up against super beings! And on July 29th, 2022, we will get just that.
Black Adam has wrapped filming with an emotional video from the Rock on their last day of filming. Now begins the process of editing and CGI work and the year long wait for the final product. The Rock has been updating us throughout the entire process with his massive workouts and size as he promises to be the biggest badass we have ever seen in the superhero world.
In the comics, Black Adam is the main adversary to Shazam. And all roads lead to a face off between Zachary Levi’s Shazam and The Rock’s Black Adam, but it looks as if we will get a anti-hero vibe from Black Adam. And how that will chance the relationship in future films with Shazam remains to be seen. Along side the Rock, Black Adam will see Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati–Moyer, and Bodhi Sabongui joined the cast in undisclosed roles, though Sabongui’s character was described as a key role from the Black Adam comics
