Obi-Wan Kenobi Cast and Production Start is Set

The hype for Ewan McGregor to return to the iconic role of ObiWan Kenobi the Jedi Master is real! We are all excited for this project, and we have some great news, the limited series will begin shooting in April!

Set 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader, we will see how Obi Wan spent some of his time watching over Luke.

A large draw to this series is not only the return of McGregor but will also see the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. And that is not all. This cast will also bring back Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse from the prequels to reprise their roles of Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru. We learned early this month that Game of Thrones actress Indira Varma was join the cast, and now we have the entire cast list. The series will see Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie join the Star Wars galaxy.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is directed by Deborah Chow, director of two critically acclaimed episodes of The Mandalorian Season 1 who also serves as an executive producer with Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Ewan McGregor, and writer Joby Harold.

Obi-Wan Kenobi will be available exclusively on Disney+.

  1. You’ll never believe who is going to play Anakin Skywalker in the new Star Wars TV series. It’s Hayden Christensen. It sounds like the story will revolve around Obi-Wan Kenobi. I’m really glad I picked up Disney Plus when I did. I know you huys are as excited as I am.
