As the Star Wars world continues to press forward with a loads of new shows, non are more anticipated then Ewan McGregor returning as Jedi Master Obi Wan Kenobi. It was previously announced that not only McGregor reprises his role from the prequels, but Hayden Christensen will be returning to the role of Darth Vader.

That’s the majority of news we have had, until now that is. Deadline is reporting that Game Of Thrones alum Indira Varma is set to join the cast of the upcoming series. While there is no information on who she will play, it is exciting to see her join the cast. Varma is a talented actress with a growing resume of shows, she will definitely add to the project.

Varma built her name on the stage before scoring supporting roles in the likes of Rome, Carnival Row, most recently ABC’s For Life, and of course as Ellaria Sand in Game Of Thrones. On the big screen she starred in Ridley Scott’s movie Exodus: Gods And Kings, and the Disney+ animated film The One And Only Ivan

Kenobi is set to hit Disney+ in early 2022, and will be set during the time period in between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope; showing what exactly Obi Wan was up to while waiting for moment he needed to get back in the fight.
