One of the biggest questions after Thor Ragnarök was what happened to Lady Sif? Hela killed a lot of Asgardians! And Thanos killed even more! We never saw Lady Sif in the film, so the hope was she just happened to be off world. Yet she did not show up in Avengers Endgame either! So, what happened to Sif? Where has she been? Will she ever come back? Well, it looks like we have the answer to one of those questions.
Jaimie Alexander who has played Sif in 2 Thor films as well as 2 episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. seems to be heading to Australia where filming is ramping up for the 4th Thor film, Thor Love & Thunder. She recently posted on Instagram a picture of her, masked up, in the international terminal of JFK heading to, as she puts it, the “Land Down Under”.
This is exciting for most of us, as Lady Sif has been a bright star in the MCU. She has not had a huge role in the MCU, but she is so dialed in to the character, and fun to see every time she shows up on screen. I loved the episodes of S.H.I.E.L.D. where she showed up and loved her small part in The Dark World.
Thor Love & Thunder is set to hit theaters on May 6th, 2022. It once again stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson and will see the return of Natalie Portman to the MCU. As well as Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillian, and Matt Damon. It is directed by Taika Waititi, who will also reprise his role as Korg in the film.
