The first episode of WandVision hits Disney+ tonight at 12AM PST/3AM EST, and as we have been starved for over a year without any MCU content, the internet has taken to attaching to all sorts of rumors that have been making their rounds. One of these have certainly caught my eye. While the validity of it are all up for debate, it is safe to say they should be taken with a huge grain of salt.
Rumor has it, that the Netflix MCU characters could be making a comeback to the MCU, and finally legitimatizing the idea that they are indeed a part of this universe, like I have always seen. I was a big fan of the Netflix MCU. I loved all 6 series’ Some more then others, and I can agree, Iron Fist season 1 had some major issues, and Defenders was a bit lackluster. But that does not take away from my enjoyment in all the series’. Now the idea that these characters will return to the MCU has me super excited.

The idea of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, or Charlie Cox’ DareDevil showing up in Spider-Man 3 has me more then giddy! Kingpin has always been a Spider-Man villain in my eyes, as I grew up on the 90’s animated Spider-Man cartoon. So, seeing him in a Spidey film would be awesome! Plus, knowing where we left off with Peter Parker in Spider-Man Far from Home, Pete might need a good lawyer going forward, and who better then Matt Murdoch!?
This rumor stems from a quote from Kevin Feige in an interview with Collider. When asked about Charlie Cox reprising his role, Feige was very, diplomatic. He said:
I look at anything that’s happened before, whether it’s our movies, whether it’s Marvel entertainment TV series obviously the comics, video games, cartoons, all of it is available as inspiration for the future of Marvel. That’s the way that comics have worked for many years. So, we’ll see.

So, while there is nothing telling that we will see these characters, it does not say that we won’t. And personally, I would think that if we had no plans, he would have said so. Instead the side stepped it as to not give away his hand. Sure, he might be bluffing. But who knows? If I was betting, I would say he was not talking so much about Charlie Cox in this quote, as he was another character who is being rumored.
What is not a rumor is that She-Hulk is heading to Disney+ in 2022, a courtroom like drama is a very possible show type for this project, and Jessica Jones as a private eye helping Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters is not a bad idea. This rumor really has no significant backing other then a good idea that has been pointed out around twitter and other social media sites, but that doesn’t mean its not possible, or does it?

Krysten Ritter who played the character in two seasons of her own show, as well as The Defenders has stated that she doesn’t think she will be returning to the role, and that she feels good about closing that door. So that makes this one a real farfetched idea but doesn’t stop me from hoping!
What do you think about this major rumor? Are their any that you think are more substantial and plausible to be true? Answer the call in comments!
